Venqaro Shop uses two cookies, both to sign you in and keep your account secure: a sign-in cookie and a recognised-device cookie. Neither is set until you sign in or finish creating your account (resetting your password also signs you in, with the sign-in cookie). It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no other browser storage. Our website pages, a shop's enquiry form, and the quote, artwork and invoice links shops send their customers set no cookies at all.

__Host-vq_devices | The recognised-device cookie: remembers that this browser has signed in to your account before, so if someone else keeps guessing your password elsewhere, you can still sign in here rather than being locked out. It holds up to five signed codes, one for each account recently signed in on this browser, and no email address or other details. A code only works for the account it was made for. | 12 months from when it was last updated, which happens each time you sign in on this browser. Signing out leaves it in place, so this browser is still recognised next time. Deleting your account removes your account's code from it (the whole cookie, if yours was the only one), and your account's codes stop working in every browser. |
Both are first-party (set by us, for our own site), can't be read by scripts on the page, and are only sent over secure connections.
Why there's no cookie banner
UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) asks for consent to cookies unless an exception applies. One exception is for cookies strictly necessary for a service you've asked for, including cookies strictly necessary to authenticate you or to prevent or detect fraud. Ours are for exactly that, and are used for nothing else: one signs you in, the other protects your account against password guessing. So no consent banner is needed. If we ever add cookies that aren't, we'll ask first.
Clearing them
You can delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time. If you delete the sign-in cookie you'll be signed out; if you delete the recognised-device cookie, you'll simply sign in as if on a new device. See the privacy notice for everything else we keep.
